As part of a collaboration project, the DeLeaves sampling tool has travelled to Hawaii in order to perform sampling with the National Tropical Botanical Garden of Hawaii. Due to the hazardous terrain of most volcanic islands, the drone sampling technique showed a lot of potential to help the biodiversity preservation efforts. The tests that took place at the McBryde Garden in Kauai, involved the training of their drone pilot Ben Nyberg. The efficiency of the DeLeaves Canopy Sampling Tool was demonstrated on different tropical species. A short video of the tests are available here: https://youtu.be/9Cd_BwnCtZw
